FXDA Community Event 2026: Industry Insights, Networking, and Community in Limassol

During iFX week in Limassol, the Your Bourse team hosted the FXDA Community Event at Library Bar, bringing together brokers, dealers, risk managers, liquidity providers, trading technology experts, students, partners, and industry friends for an evening of practical discussion and relaxed networking.
The event brought the FX Dealer Academy community into the room, connecting people who usually meet through the course, Telegram group, webinars, and industry conversations online. It was a chance to exchange ideas, ask practical questions, meet familiar names in person, and continue building the community around dealing, risk management, liquidity, and brokerage technology.
Panels That Mattered
The evening opened with two focused panel discussions designed for today’s brokerage teams.
Dealer’s Survival Guide for 2026 was hosted by Elina Pedersen, Co-Founder and CEO of Your Bourse. The panel featured Giannis Nikola, Chief Risk Officer at easyMarkets; Marios Antoniou, Chief Executive Officer at LP Prime; Bailey White, Global Head of Trading at TMGM; and Matthew Maloney from Edgewater Markets.
The discussion focused on the realities facing dealing desks and risk teams in 2026, including gold and energy volatility, geopolitical risk, concentrated client flow, hedging, toxic flow, copy trading, and the continued shift toward hybrid risk models.
One of the key points from the panel was that liquidity is not only about access to pricing. Brokers also need to understand whether that pricing is executable under pressure, whether there is depth beyond top of book, and whether their risk setup can handle concentrated flow during volatile conditions.
Trading Platforms: Front-End Glory, Back-End Pain was hosted by Kate Rutkovskaya, Chief Revenue Officer at Your Bourse. The panel featured Valter Timanov, Chief Operating Officer at Your Bourse; Aytugan Khafizov, Founder & CEO at FastMT; Drew Niv, Chief Strategy Officer at ATFX; and Matej Serbec, CTO at TradeLocker.
This session looked at what happens behind the trading screen, from platform choice and front-end expectations to infrastructure, latency, APIs, bridge connectivity, risk tools, data feeds, migrations, and long-term flexibility.
A clear takeaway was that platform decisions should support the broker’s client base, product strategy, and operational model. What looks good on the front end must still work for the teams managing execution, risk, reporting, infrastructure, and growth behind the scenes.

Food, Drinks & Conversation
After the panels, the evening continued with food, drinks, networking, and conversations across the room. The relaxed setting at Library Bar gave attendees the chance to reconnect with industry colleagues, meet new contacts, and continue discussing the topics raised during the panels.
There was also football in the background, which helped keep the atmosphere informal and added to the community feel of the evening.
Community Prizes
The event also included prizes for some of the most active members of the FXDA community.
The FX Dealer Academy Telegram group has grown into an active space for market discussion, practical questions, memes, and industry exchange. The prizes were a small way to recognise the people who continue to contribute to that community and help keep the conversation going beyond the course itself.
Welcoming the New Head of FXDA
One of the key moments of the evening was the official announcement of Marios Kyriakou as the new Head of FX Dealer Academy.
Marios will lead the next stage of FXDA’s development as we continue expanding practical education, community activity, and industry-led training for brokers, dealers, risk professionals, operations teams, and fintech professionals.
