QA Automation Tester (Cypress, API)

Remote or Tallinn / Cyprus / Yerevan

As a QA Automation Tester, you will play a key role in modernising the testing function and strategy within the business, taking us from being 100% manual-based to 70% automation-based over the next year. You will proactively suggest improvements to the quality assurance processes, write and review test plans and test cases for new functionality, and execute automated test cases across the product to improve quality.

What you'll do:

Key Accountabilities

1. Designing, implementing, and executing automated tests across the YourBourse platform
2. Contribute towards quality releases & reduce time to market by adding automation test coverage
3. Contribute towards automating our manual tests (1-3 months: 50/50 split between automation and manual testing; after the warm-up period, 80/20 split)
4. Share knowledge and provide mentorship to members across the team as required
5. Work alongside developers, product, UX, documentation, and other test team members to test and release new features in a fast-paced agile environment
6. Write clear and concise test plans/cases that will map to automation within the sprint cycle
7. Define, report, and validate bugs during various stages of testing
8. Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality

Technical Skills And Experience

The Senior QA Automation Engineer should be able to demonstrate solid experience in many of the following.

Mandatory

1. You are an experienced Automation Test Engineer who has built frameworks from scratch
2. You have experience using Cypress
3. You have performed API Testing using REST, Postman or equivalent
4. Good understanding of SQL databases and ability to write queries on your own
5. You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
6. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills


Desirable

1. Ability to read and understand C#, Javascript/Typescript code
2. Experience with Selenium or any other frameworks
3. Experience with Github Actions or similar CI/CD frameworks
4. Experience working with DevOps to build and enhance a CI/CD pipeline
5. You ideally have a FinTech background
